| Established in Phoenix in 1988 by
architect-turned-writer and photographer Michel Sarda, Bridgewood
Press rapidly built a reputation for books of outstanding quality
serving the Greater Phoenix area and the Arizona community at large.
The Valley of the Sun Trilogy (Phoenix,
Scottsdale, Tempe), a set of large format, full-color, hardbound
“coffee-table” books completed in 1993 was hugely successful with
businesses and public agencies which used them for promotion and
image-building.

The
Trilogy was extended in 1996 into a quartet with Greater Phoenix,
covering the entire Valley community, a book prepared in association with
the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC).
All four books,
competitively priced and now under clearance sale for some, have been —
and still are — a favorite choice for destination management agencies,
convention planners as well as major resorts.

Community-oriented since its beginning, and
dedicated to serve and promote Southwest artists and authors, Bridgewood
Press has released a list of titles that speaks for itself.
In
the meantime, under growing demand, were also developed affordable publishing
services allowing short-run publications to be available worldwide on amazon.com

In
association with the Art Renaissance Initiative, a Phoenix-based nonprofit
cultural organization, Bridgewood Press designs, produces and promotes
publications and products such as CDs and art photography that can be used for
fundraising purposes. As an example, the Arizona Millennium Trilogy, a series of
three books of art photography portraits, was initiated in 1998 and completed in
2005. A second series, the Arizona
Statehood Centennial Trilogy is currently under way. |
